Garden of the Righteous

The park, on the edge of Provaglio and facing a busy road, links the recent residential neighbourhoods with existing facilities and routes. The cycle path alongside Via Sebina extends the existing one north of the site and connects the southern part of the village to the sports centres. Via Sebina was slightly narrowed to create a long continuous planting strip, with trees and roses, separating it from the cycle path. Protected internal paths paved in porphyry setts and the solutions adopted for the crossings provide a direct link between the events area, the town centre and the outlying residential areas. The southern part of the park is shaped by sinuous landforms, retained by low cast-in-place white concrete walls, which form the backdrop to large play and seating areas.
