Parco Nord
Parco Nord is certainly the largest green area in Zanica, yet it played no part in the identity of the neighbourhood: what stood out was its neglect and its occasional use for seasonal festivals. The project gave different purposes to the different parts of the park, creating a variety of uses: there is now a furnished play area for young children (aged 2 to 11) with a gravel surface, as well as large lawns and well-placed seating areas with pergolas and benches. The central area of the park was reclaimed for a multi-sports court, again with a seating area with pergolas, benches and gravel paving. This whole zone and the park entrance from Via Roma (the Cremasca state road) are screened by a densely planted embankment. The seating areas are surrounded by large lawns left free for play, and the edges of the park are planted with good-sized trees.
